The late summer is high time of the music festival season, but with the current heat wave roasting everything in St. Louis to a crisp why would you want to be outside? Our friends at Do314 and The Loud Label present Gardens & Villa to cool everyone off.
Tomorrow night, the Santa Barbara based indie band stops by the Gramophone to bring their breezy California sound to the hot and sticky Midwest. Filled with mellow pop tones, falsetto vocals, groovy bass lines and synthy elements there is certainly some chill vibes to the group, yet the mix is smooth without one instrument (even the flute) dominating the sound scape. Did I mention this show is free with an RSVP?
The band released their full length self titled album on Secretly Canadian on July 5th. Read a review of their new album from Consequence Of Sound. Watch a few videos below or check out their bandcamp page.

Why not beat the heat and head down to The Grove neighborhood and into the air conditioning (imagine California ocean breeze) of the Gramophone? While you're there order one of their fine local or national craft beers, grab a seat on the couch and relax. See some live music. It'll do you a world of good.
