Yesterday, I received a notice from Chris Mills letting everyone know he's playing a show this Friday night at The Living Room in New York City. Based in Brooklyn, but with strong roots in Collinsville, Mills played a show last month at Fred's Six Feet Under. Check out the review of that show here.
Instead of the solo performance Mills gave in St. Louis, his band will feature: Mills on Guitar/Vocals, David Nagler on Keys/Vocals, Margaret White on Violin/Vocals, Eddie Carlson on Bass Guitar and the amazing Steve Goulding on Drums. There will ALSO be a special appearance by Niall Connolly!
Mills is sharing the bill with his good friend Matt Singer. Earlier this month, Singer, a Jersey native now calling Brooklyn home, just released a new album Live at the Warehouse. You can download the music from that release from his site for free with the option to “Pay Only What You Want,” knowing that ALL proceeds will go directly to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
About Friday's show Mills says, "The best part? THERE IS NO COVER!!!" He's right of course, the show is free -- with 2 drink minimum that is. Nevertheless, that's not bad overall.
Mills reported that he would be playing at 9 p.m. and Matt Singer starts his show at 10 p.m.
If you're reading this and planning on being anywhere near the Manhattan area this Friday night and make it out to the show tell Chris I said "Hi!"
