3 Minute Record

"We learned more from a three minute record baby than we ever learned in school..." -from No Surrender by Bruce Springsteen

Podcast Episode 8 with Mike Heidorn

We were really honored to get a chance to head on over to Mike Heidorn's house in Belleville, IL to sit down for an extended chat and share a few Stag beers. Mike was a founding member of Uncle Tupelo and later, Son Volt. Topics range from Peter Bruntnell, Belleville, IL, the origins of Uncle Tupelo, garage rock, Big Star, Warren Zevon, and the new Legacy Edition release of Uncle Tupelo’s seminal debut album No Depression.

We can't thank Mike enough for inviting us into his home and taking the time to chat with us. We talked for quite a long time so we are going to divide this into two episodes. We hope you enjoy listening to this conversation as much as we had while recording it.
