An apology and a Renewed Spirit
I'm not going to bore you with the woe-is-me crap. I'm sorry. There I've said it.
Let's just suffice to say that life and work over the past couple of months have been hectic leaving me and the other 3 Minute Record writers little time to write. That and a general sense of being burned out doesn't help keeping up a music blog. However, that's about to change.
With the new year comes a new renewed sense of vigor. We still have a strong desire to share new music with readers plus our takes on some of the music we already love.
In the new year we'll have more live music reviews, album reviews, interviews and other music related content. With the many contacts we made this year, we hope to add more local music content as well as national content.
Over the past few months we supplemented our content with posts written by Chad Baalman. We hope to continue this relationship, but we'd also like to add other local writers interested in covering the St. Louis music scene. If you're interested please drop us an email soon.
Since August we've been opening up our music collections once a month for a record spin for the patrons of The Royale in South St. Louis. Please come out and join us and talk music over some of the best local beer on tap. (Next spin is Jan. 26 at 10 p.m.)
Shortly, we'll be publishing our "Best of" lists of favorite albums and shows from 2011. We hope you enjoy them and find something new to add to your music library.
